Decorate your house with something homemade this Diwali. Collect the craft supplies, gather the kids, and get ready to have some fun!

Transform your basic milk carton into a beautiful shadow box to add to your Diwali decor this year. This unique LED candle shadow box comes together in minutes and the project is fairly easy to do with kids. So without further ado lets get started with the list of supplies.
You will need:
1 Half Gallon Milk Carton
1 Craft Knife
1 Sharpie or Marker
A Ruler (*Optional )
1 Small Gift Wrap or Paint Color
Put on your craft hat and lets get started …
Cut your milk carton in half with the help of a craft knife.
Use a marker to draw Diya design on two facing side of the carton or any design of your choice on two alternate sides of the carton.
Carefully, cut these shapes out using a craft knife.
Now it’s time to decorate our Shadow Box.
I have decorated my box with some gift wrap paper, but you can also simply color it with metallic or acrylic color of your choice.
If you decide to go with a gift wrap, make sure you mark and cut the shape holes for shadow boxes. To do that simply place the inner side of gift wrap to the cutouts, draw and cut the sizes.
Now apply some glue on the carton and stick the gift wrap to the box, while making sure you do no cover the cut-out shapes.
Pro Tip: Once the glue dries, take sandpaper and give a clean finish to the cutout edges.
