Lotus Bloomz is born out of nostalgia and a calling to reconnect our future generations with their Indic roots!
As global citizens who believe in the idea of “Vasudhaiv Kutumbakam,” we raised our kids with values to respect and appreciate all cultures. Yet as parents, we often wondered if we were doing enough to nurture our Indian roots and cultivate a true sense of belonging in our kids.
Raising kids in a multicultural melting pot like the USA has a fair share of advantages. Children get introduced to various backgrounds and learn to celebrate the diversity and uniqueness of them all from a young age.
While such broad exposure promotes cultural diversity, it sometimes leaves kids with a perplexed sense of self-identity, and they wrestle to find their place in the big wide world.
As parents, it is our responsibility to help multicultural kids retain their native culture and pass on our rich heritage, language, food, and art to the next generation. When they grow up knowing where they come from, it is easier for them to discover who they are and what they want to become.
Self-discovery is a lifelong adventure, but the journey begins at a tender age with self-awareness. Lotus Bloomz aims to nourish that curiosity from early years so our kids would grow up knowing their origin and embracing their cultural identity.
